Take Part in BIC SUP Paddle in Pink 2018 at Clearwater Noosa
Raise awareness for breast cancer at the BIC UP Paddle in Pink this 2018. Dress up in all pink and join hundreds of other paddlers on Noosa River as you go around the scenic Noosa Sound, one of Noosa’s famous tourist sites. This fun-for-all-ages event will aim to raise awareness for breast cancer as well as funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Make sure to join in the fun this October!
Breast is one of the most common cancers that will affect an estimate of around 18,000 women during 2018. The risk of being diagnosed for women is 1 in 8 by the age of 85. Breast cancer is treatable, which is more effective when recognised in its earlier stages. This is one of the main reasons to campaign for breast cancer awareness, where the symptoms can be spotted early and treated with a better chance of beating it.
The BIC SUP Paddle in Pink is one way to raise awareness for breast cancer this spring. Everyone and anyone can take part in this fun paddling event for all ages, which will take place in Noosa Heads on the picturesque Sunshine Coast. Paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, outriggers, surf skis, and row boats are well welcome, and for those that don’t have their own can rent onsite. Others are also invited to cheer on the paddlers and show their support. For more incentive to take part, there will a number of exciting prizes up for grabs.
All funds and contributions at the BIC SUP Paddle in Pink 2018 will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Get paddling on Noosa River on Sunday, October 14.
